Which AstroOne Compatibility Tool Should You Use?

Compare Name Love, Birthday Love, Western Zodiac, Chinese Zodiac and Friendship Match by input, calculation identity and limitation so that scores from different tools are not treated as interchangeable.

Use name-based tools when the names are the real inputs you have

Name Love Match and Friendship Match both begin with Pythagorean A–Z name numerology and use Expression, Soul Urge and Personality layers, but their relationship domains are different. Name Love focuses on romantic dynamics, while Friendship Match emphasizes trust, personal space, group dynamics, reliability and repair between friends. The same names can produce the same numerical signatures without making the two tools interchangeable.

Birthday Love combines numerology with Sun-sign context

Birthday Love Compatibility is a mixed method: it calculates both Life Path and Birthday Number, then adds Western Sun-sign element and modality context. The current overall uses Life Path 34% + element 25% + modality 15% + Birthday Number 16% + Relationship Number support 10%, followed by a bounded contrast adjustment. It is still not a full natal-chart or synastry calculation because it does not use birth time, Moon, Venus, Mars or houses.

Western Zodiac Match is a transparent Sun-sign method

Western Zodiac Compatibility combines element, modality, polarity, traditional ruler context, sign-distance aspect and adjustment capacity. Its reader-facing result includes an overall score plus eight dimensions such as communication, emotional connection, trust, attraction, personal space, conflict recovery, daily life and long-term potential. It is a consistent Sun-sign comparison framework, not a hidden full-chart calculation.

Chinese Zodiac Match uses a year-animal relationship framework

Chinese Zodiac Match first resolves the correct animal at the Chinese New Year boundary, then combines animal and branch metadata with harmony, trine, clash, harm, punishment/break tags, Yin/Yang, elements and temperament dimensions. The current result exposes six relationship metrics. Its identity is year-animal compatibility—not a full BaZi chart—so its score answers a different question from a Western or name-based score.

Different scores can both be internally correct because they measure different layers

If the same pair scores 84 in Name Love and 62 in Chinese Match, the responsible move is not to average them into a fictional “true compatibility” of 73. The inputs and frameworks are different, so each number represents a different symbolic lens. Look instead for recurring strengths and growth areas, then compare them with real evidence such as respect, trust, consent, consistency and the way conflict is actually repaired.
