Synthesis: combining signals
Learn a repeatable path from chart data and components to interpretation, synthesis and timing.
Synthesis is not keyword stacking
A chart does not become coherent if planet, sign, house and aspect are left as separate bullet points. Synthesis asks how one factor changes the expression of another, then writes the combined effect as one conditional interpretation.
Contradiction is not automatically an error
A chart can contain a need for quiet and a strong urge to act at the same time. Synthesis does not erase one side; it explains the contexts in which each side appears and how the tension may be managed.
One aspect is not destiny
Treating one tight square as doom or one trine as automatic success removes context. AstroOne’s narrative layer frames challenging aspects as friction or adjustment and keeps the language practical rather than deterministic.
Combining Mars in Aries H10 with Moon square Mars
- Input
Example A: Mars 24.37° Aries H10; Moon 23.29° Cancer H1; Moon square Mars, orb 1.085°.
- Calculation
The placement and aspect facts come from the engine; the 1.085° orb is tight inside AstroOne’s 7° square limit when a luminary is involved.
- Factors to inspect
Mars = drive/assertion · Aries = direct initiation · H10 = career/public responsibility · Moon = emotional/instinctive response · H1 = self/body/first response · square = friction/adjustment convention.
- Reasoning
A direct, fast-moving drive in public or work contexts may sometimes clash with the need to protect emotional security or respond from the gut. This is a pattern hypothesis, not a prediction that “a fight at work will happen.”
- Synthesis
The useful synthesis is not “remove the friction.” It is to notice the emotional signal early enough that Mars-like initiative can be used deliberately rather than reactively.
The final interpretation is more specific than any single factor while still remaining conditional rather than certain.
